Your Devotional message for 6th January 2023
Scripture:
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law (Proverbs 29:18, NKJV).
Explanation:
I will define revelation as the act of exposing hidden things that are kept secret from man by virtue of their spiritual nature. Spiritual information is often kept as ‘secret things’ by God as they are hidden from ordinary man and can be so crucial for our living. “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law (Deuteronomy 29:29). As we begin the New Year 2023, there is something crucial for many Christians to do by seeking revelation and committing your written plans unto God. We must seek the counsel of God by the Holy Spirit about the Promises of God, His plans, guidance, direction, instructions, and enlightenment. Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law (Proverbs 29:18, NKJV).
I pray for you that in this year the Lord shall bring to you revelation of His counsel, favour, mercy, blessing, success, and progress in the name of Jesus.

There was no revelation during the time of Priest Eli:
Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation (1 Samuel 3:1).
The Dreams of King of King Nebuchadnezzar was revealed to Daniel:
Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So, Daniel blessed the God of heaven (Daniel 2:19).
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world”(Matthew 13:35).

Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war (Proverbs 20:18).
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Romans 8:14).
As we journey through the month of January 2023, I pray for you that you may be victorious no matter what come your way. I pray that His mercy and grace will preserve you and keep you in the name of Jesus. You will walk in the counsel of the Lord for your life. Glory be to God.

Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). Prosperity is mine.
This month Our God, the Great Counsellor shall manifest His glory in your life in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
