Scripture:
For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her (Proverbs 8:11).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 17 of 29 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Wisdom is better than rubies’.
The Bible made a comparison of wisdom with the Rubies. A ruby is a pinkish red to blood-red coloured gemstone and is regarded as one of the most popular traditional jewellery gems and is very durable. This is because a man with divine wisdom has no limit with what he can discover or achieve through wisdom. Job said in the scripture that ‘No mention shall be made of coral or quartz, For the price of wisdom is above rubies’ (Job 28:18).
For wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her (Proverbs 8:11). She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her (Proverbs 3:15).
And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore (1 Kings 4:29).
Then she (Queen of Sheba) said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. However, I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed, the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard (1 Kings 10:6-7).
May you receive the wisdom of God and the prosperity of God that will make you to succeed in life in the name of Jesus.
Further Scriptures:
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8).
Let us pray today: May you experience the glory of God that brings supernatural manifestation of wisdom, healings, deliverance, signs and wonders in your life, marriage, finance, business, and family in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Glory be to God!
