Explanation:
In today, day 23 of 31 days of the Daily Meditation, on this series of the Grace and Mercy of God we will explore our understanding of His mercy.
The purpose of this series is ushering us to a deeper study on the knowledge of God’s Grace and Mercy. Yesterday we learned that you should “Therefore, know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments (Deuteronomy 7:9). The Lord Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Let examine further examples of the people He showed mercy to for our meditation.
Here are a few of the scriptures expounding on the God that shows mercy:
Mercy to Joseph:
But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21). Joseph, having been sold and taken down to Egypt into slavery by the jealous act of his fellow brothers. The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian (Genesis 39:2). Despite, He was put into prison as a result of false accusation made against him by his master’s wife.
Mercy to David:
And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day (1 King 3:6).
Great deliverance He gives to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore (Psalm 18:50).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Ask God to show His mercy on you. Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation (Psalm 85:7).
Then you need the grace of God as a gift of His divine ability to work things out for you. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of August 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘The Grace and Mercy of God’
Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
