Your Devotional message for 27th August 2021
Scripture:
Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed (Psalm 85:10).
Explanation:
The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study on the knowledge of God’s Grace and Mercy. In today, day 27 of 31 days of our Daily Meditation, on the series of the Grace and Mercy of God we will explore our understanding of His mercy and truth in combination. Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed (Psalm 85:10). These four Divine attributes of God parted from Adam and met together in Christ Jesus. Glory be to God. Let us examine the scriptures of the benefits of the combined attributes of God of mercy and truth. Mercy and truth of God would preserve you (Psalms 61:7). All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies (Psalm 25:10). Truth is the Word of God.
Here are a few of the other scriptures expounding on the dual attributes of mercy and truth:
You need mercy and truth when you are reproached:
He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth (Psalm 57:3).
At the quest for a wife for Abraham’s son (Isaac): Abraham sent forth his oldest servant to go to his country and to his family and take a wife for Isaac (Genesis 24:4). Mercy and truth prevailed. And he said, “Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His mercy and His truth toward my master. As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren” (Genesis 24:27).
His great kindness of mercy and truth to David:
And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day (1 Kings 3:6).
What is the conclusion about mercy and truth?
Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart (Proverbs 3:3).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Ask God to show His mercy on you. Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation (Psalm 85:7). He can deliver you from every issue of life where there seems no solution. Great deliverance He gives to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore (Psalm 18:50).
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of August 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘The Grace and Mercy of God’
Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
Further Reading scriptures to meditate:
For though I were righteous, I could not answer Him; I would beg mercy of my Judge (Job 9:15).
