Your Devotional message for 4th September 2021
Scripture:
And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favour in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ tombs, that I may rebuild it” (Nehemiah 2:5).
Explanation:
Today, day 4 of the 30 days of our Daily Meditation, we will explore Finding favour in the sight of man. The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study on the knowledge of God’s favour. The favour of God is a driver to a successful living. We must obtain favour in the sight of God by faith and ask God to make you to find favour in the sight of man. Do you know that Jesus Christ was not an exception to receiving favour from God and men. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).
Here are a few of the other scriptures expounding on finding favour in the sight of God:
Nehemiah: And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favour in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ tombs, that I may rebuild it” (Nehemiah 2:5).
Samuel: And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favour both with the Lord and men (1 Samuel 2:26). The favour of God was upon Samuel and many more in the scriptures.
Ziba: So, the king said to Ziba, “Here, all that belongs to Mephibosheth is yours.” And Ziba said, “I humbly bow before you, that I may find favour in your sight, my lord, O king!” (2 Samuel 16:4).
Joseph: But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
Daniel: Now God had brought Daniel into the favour and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs (Daniel 1:9).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Ask God to show His favour on you and before men.
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.

It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
