Scripture:
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favour You will surround him as with a shield (Psalms 5:12).
Explanation:
If you just visit this page, I will like to invite you to check from the beginning of our new series on the Favour of God and follow us. The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study on the knowledge of God’s favour. The favour of God is a driver to a successful living. We must obtain favour in the sight of God by faith and ask God to make you to find favour in His sight as well as of man. Today, day 9 of the 30 days of our Daily Meditation, we will meditate on the verse: For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favour You will surround him as with a shield (Psalms 5:12). Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).
Here are a few of the other scriptures expounding on the favour of God is a doorway to greatness:
When you examine the life of those who were examples of men that receive favour, their lives were blessed and despite the challenges with opposition. They were surrounded with favour as with a shield. Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Elijah and so many more.
Joseph was in prison but came out as second in rank in Egypt: But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21). Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams and provided the King’s with the Wisdom of God that He acknowledged him a man with the Spirit of God.  And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt”(Genesis 41:41)
Daniel sought the mercy of God that He might not perish with the rest of the wise men, but later became the third ruler in Babylonian Kingdom (Daniel 2:18): Now God had brought Daniel into the favour and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs (Daniel 1:9). As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams (Daniel 1:19). Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom (Daniel 5:29).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Ask God to show His favour on you and before men.
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of September 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘The favour of God’
Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
Further Reading scriptures to meditate:
The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and the Revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret” (Daniel 2:47).
