Your Devotional message for 9th May 2021
Scripture:
You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst (Nehemiah 9:20, NKJV).
Explanation:
In the journey of life and prosperity, we have seen people like Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Joseph in the old testament to Peter in the new testament of the Bible that prosper because of divine instructions from their Lord. Such instruction come from the Word of the Lord. Such an instruction is crucial to success and prosperity and come from the Spirit of the Lord and His word. You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst (Nehemiah 9:20, NKJV).
The instruction gives direction and specific task: In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, Then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. To turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword (Job 33:15-18, NKJV).
The purpose of such instruction: according to the proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity; To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel (Proverbs 1:1-5).
The case of Simon in Luke 5: 1-11 is a good example of a professional fisherman and a businessman. When Jesus Christ met the fishermen by the Lake of Gennesaret, they told Jesus Christ that they have toiled all night and caught nothing. Jesus Christ instructed them to let down the net and Simon said nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.
And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken Luke 5:6-9, NKJV).
To prosper, receiving and obedience to instruction is crucial. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye (Psalm 32:8).
I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons (Psalms 16:7).
Instruction of Lord will save you from many years of toiling hard in life, businesses, and other area of life.

The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit man, soul, and body. I prosper in my spirit, soul and body and other areas of life as well as health even as my soul prospers in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus.
