The Names of God.

Your Devotional message for 9th June 2021

Scripture:
Moreover, God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’ (Exodus 3:15)
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, Day 9 of the 30 days of the Great Power of God, we will explore a few memorial Names of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The purpose of this knowledge is to gain further knowledge and understanding of the operation of the Great Power of God through His Names. These redemptive names of God are very Powerful as we studied earlier the Powerful name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
The names of the Almighty God have spanned from the Genesis to Revelation based on the revelation. From time of creation, He was the God the creator (Elohim) and when He had an encounter with Abraham, He was the Almighty God.
He revealed Himself to Isaac as the God of Isaac as well as to Jacob as the God of Jacob.
After His encounter with Moses, as the God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
He revealed Himself to Moses and Israelites as the Jehovah. These are examples of His name as Jehovah.
Jehovah-Rapha, The Lord our Healer – (Ex 15:26)
Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord our Banner [or Refuge] – (Ps 20:5)
Jehovah-Shalom, the Lord our Peace – (Judges 6:24)
Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness (Psalm 11:7)
Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord our Provider – (Gen 22:8-14)
Jehovah-Shammah, the Lord is present (Exodus 33:14-15)
Jehovah-Ra’ah, the Lord our Shepherd – (Gen 48:15; Ps 23:-11; 1 Pet 2:25)

The name of the Lord has Power as you call the name you shall be saved.
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls (Joel 2:32).
As Christians, God is our Lord and Savior which is Himself Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus Christ is Powerful.  Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name,  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).
In scripture text for today, it is an instruction to meditate on the Name of the Lord. This is because the name of God is a Mighty Tower and the righteous run into it, and they are saved. Glory be to God.
Confess the Word. Apply and confess the power in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Pray fervently in the Name of Jesus.
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of June 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘Operating in the realm of God’s power.’
Confession:
Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding at work in me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are mine to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God.
