Your Devotional message for 8th July 2021
Scripture:
Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory (Mark 10:37).
Explanation:
In our day 8 of 31 days of the Daily Meditation on the theme basking in the Glory of God, we will look further at glory and power.
The glory of God is a dimension in which His presence brings visible evidence, demonstration of power and great manifestations independent of the faith of the eyewitnesses. When the Glory of God is present, His fullness is present, and God’s faith became dominant. Within the glory of God, there is His Fullness of God, His presence and His Power become supreme over anything both living and non-living.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is indispensable for supernatural works of God especially for the Divine Health and healing. Understanding of the anointing of the Holy Spirit is a key to destroying such tares. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is the unction or the Power of the Holy Spirit that comes and allows one to carry out the specific spiritual assignment. The anointing in the Old Testament is initiated through the anointing oil. And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him (Exodus 29:7). This anointing was used for consecration by the priest. Also, Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them (Leviticus 8:10, NKJV). Unlike today the anointing is in you if you are a child of God and the anointing oil is still used to pray for the sick. As a child of God, you have been anointed, but you need to activate it. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him (1 John 2:27, NKJV).
During His earthly ministry, Jesus Christ was soaked in the Holy Ghost. In Acts 10:38, we understood ‘how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.’ Jesus Christ was anointed through the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. He went about the Father’s business by healing all who were oppressed by the devil.
The Presence and the Power brings manifestation of the Acts and Works of God through the Anointing. The case example in Luke 5:17, is a good example. Prior to Jesus Christ healing the Paralytic, the power of the Lord was present to heal the sick.
The anointing can heal the wound and brokenness in the Spirit, it can provide deliverance from bondages, afflictions of souls, and oppressions of darkness. This is further explained in the scripture ‘that It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil (Isaiah 10:27).
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:14, NKJV). Prayer and anointing oil are used here to heal the sick. There are other ways that God uses which is beyond the scope of today’s message. The presence of God produces Joy, Strength, Power in the inner man, Divine health, and Healings. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalms 16:11, NKJV).
Say I am a carrier of the glory of God. Study and meditate on the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit often. Expect and ask God to manifest His Glory and the Angelic ministration.

Faith Confession for Power:
Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of the Lord is at work in me. Let the sight of the glory of the Lord be as a consuming fire around my life that make my adversaries to flee.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching will not be with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority and power to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Therefore, I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth like Fire and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power and the glory of God.
I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Prosperity and success are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
