Your Devotional Message for 8th December
Scripture:
But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21).
Explanation:
Today is day 8 of 30 days on our new series called ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’ throughout the month.The purpose of this series is to gain and apply the knowledge of the Victory purchasedby the blood of Jesus.But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). In today Daily Meditation, we will meditate on scriptures on the victory of God by His Divine favour. There are three words that overlaps one another, and they are: favour, mercy, and grace.But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21). The presence of God was around Joseph though he was in the prison. God showed him mercy and favour.
The favour of God is a driver to a victorious and successful living. We must obtain favour in the sight of God by faith and ask God to make you to find favour in His sight as well as of man.For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favour You will surround him as with a shield (Psalms 5:12). Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).

If you will examine the life of those who were examples of men that receive Divine favour of God, their lives were blessed despite the challenges with opposition. They were surrounded with favour as with a shield. Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Elijah and so many more.
Joseph was in the prison but came out victorious as second in rank in Egypt:
But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21). Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams and provided the King’s with the Wisdom of God that He acknowledged him a man with the Spirit of God.And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt”(Genesis 41:41).
Daniel sought after the mercy of God that He might not perish with the rest of the wise men, but later became the third ruler in Babylonian Kingdom (Daniel 2:18):Now God had brought Daniel into the favour and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs (Daniel 1:9). As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams (Daniel 1:19). Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom (Daniel 5:29).
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?
Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Him as Your Lord and saviour.

Faith Confession of the Month:
Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have victoried every day of my life.
I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
