Scripture:
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” (Mark 8:29).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 8 of 30 days of the month of November, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Lord of Lords’’ – You are the Christ.
One of the questions that Jesus asked His disciples is Who do men say that I am? It is not by chance that people such as the High Priest asked Jesus If You Are the Christ? As Christ is the anointed One and He carries the fullness of God. By scriptures and revelation of the Holy Spirit, It is the knowledge known to many Christians even today that the purpose of Christ coming to the World is not only the forgiveness of our sins but that we might regain back all that Adams lost to the Satan especially that of an abundant life. The Lord Jesus Christ is a Mediator of the new Covenant built on better promises. Let us meditate on this truth.
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:15-19).
May you receive the dimension of the glory of God that will make you to reign in life in the name of Jesus.
