Your Devotional message for 8th June 2021

Scripture:
“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held— to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors,
So that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron” (Isaiah 45:1-2).

Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, Day 7 of the 30 days of the Great Power of God, we will explore the sudden Power effect when the Hand of the Lord come into any situation. The purpose of this knowledge is to gain further knowledge and understanding of the operation of the Great Power of God through the Hand of the Lord. Throughout the scriptures there are instances of the Hand of the Lord coming His servants. These events are recorded for our learning. This is crucial knowledge that you must gain in your quest for the Great Power of God for a sudden supernatural manifestation. What does it mean by the Hand of the Lord? Well, this is difficult to explain naturally. This is a sudden impartation when the Spirit of the Lord come upon someone or could be explain by a Sudden Great Power of God with a terrifying Act. The hand of the Lord brings Power, strength, favor, mercy, help, judgement, and resources of God.
Moses and the people of Israel before Pharaoh:
One of the greatest events in the Bible was the battle caused by the disobedience of Pharaoh to let the children go from their task masters. Eventually God wrought by His Hand terrifying plagues upon the Land of Egypt. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand, he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”(Exodus 6:1). Eventually, the Lord brought them out of Egypt with a mighty hand (Deuteronomy 6:21).

The Hand of the Lord upon the people of Ashdod:
This happened when the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it to Ashdod. The consequence of their Idol worshipping of Dagon their god was severe as people were ravaged with cancers. “But the hand of the Lord was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and He ravaged them and struck them with tumors,  both Ashdod and its territory. And when the men of Ashdod saw how it was, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel must not remain with us, for His hand is harsh toward us and Dagon our god.” Therefore, they sent and gathered to themselves all the lords of the Philistines, and said, “What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel?” (1 Samuel 5: 6-8).

The hand of the Lord brings mercy:
And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man” (2 Samuel 24:14).

The hand of the Lord brings the resources of Heaven:
“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held— to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors,
So that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord,
Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. ” (Isaiah 45:1-2).

The hand of the Lord brings supernatural speed:
Elijah outran the chariot of Ahab by the Hand of the Lord. A sudden Great Power came upon Elijah. Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel (1 Kings 18:46).

The Hand of the Lord upon the Prophets:
The impartation that happened whenever the Hand of the Lord would come upon the Prophets as he prophesied with great and mighty things would happen. In the brevity of time, Ezekiel was an example who prophesied as the Hand of the Lord came upon him:
So, the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me (Ezekiel 3:14).
Then the hand of the Lord was upon me there, and He said to me, “Arise, go out into the plain, and there I shall talk with you” (Ezekiel 3:22).
