Your Devotional message for 7th April, 2023.
Scripture:
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not (Lamentation 3:22).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 07 of the 30 days of the month of April, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Love of God’ – His compassion.
Our God in His sovereignty is a God of love, and His compassion is seen also in His works and Acts. His Love is also expressed through Jesus Christ who redeemed us from sins and curses. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends (John 15:13). Even in the Old Testament, we see how God showed compassion to the poor and destitute.
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him (Lamentation 3:22-25).
Jesus Christ was an expression of the Love of God and showed compassion while healing the sick. One occasion, a Leper came to Him begging Him to cleanse. “Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed (Mark 1:41-42).

You will not miss the Love and mercy of the Lord over your life, His blessing, success, and progress shall be evident in your life in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God.
