Your Devotional Message for 7th November
Scripture:
Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness (Luke 4:1, NKJV).
Explanation:
We will continue in our Daily Meditation today,day 7 of 30 days of our new series called living ‘the Higher spiritual life in Christ Jesus’ in which we have been called. Wewill meditateon the essence of being filled with the Holy Spirit and How to be filled with the Holy Spirit? During the Ancient Hebrew and Greek, the word spirit was not a strange thing as it is called Ruach and pneuma respectively. It is impossible to live a higher dimension of life in Christ without the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God.Jesus testified that the Holy Spirit does the works, and he was constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit. Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness (Luke 4:1, NKJV).
You must be baptised with the Holy Spirit. At Pentecost, the scripture says that “and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:3-4). The Holy Spirit is a person of the Triune of God: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.In addition, you must be full of faith and be filled with Holy Spirit.
How do you get filled with the Holy Spirit?
Paul enlightened us and gave us seven things you can do to be filled with Holy Spirit here: “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:18-21). It is amazing that singing can be with songs, or singing in the Spirit, supplication in the
spirit.
Here are a few other examples of the scriptures expounding on Higher Spiritual life in Christ Jesus:
Stephen was filled with Holy Spirit:
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people (Acts 6:8).
Paul encourages other ways which may include prayers and praying in the spirit or praying in tongues:
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding (1 Corinthians 14:14-15).
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?
Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Him as Your Lord and saviour.

Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have the glory of God. I declare that my spiritual ears, eyes,and other spiritual senses are exercised for His divine revelations.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4).Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
