Your Devotional message for 6th August 2021
Scripture:
“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn (Zechariah 12:10).
Explanation:
Grace and Mercy of God be multiplied to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
This is day 6 of 31 days of the Daily Meditation on this series of the Grace and Mercy of God. The purpose of this series is ushering us to a deeper study on the knowledge of God regarding Grace and Mercy. In today Daily Meditation, we will be exploring the topic: The Grace and Mercy of God – The Spirit of grace
Here are a few of the scriptures expounding on the grace of God:
The Seven Spirits of God:
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:1-2). This is same Holy Spirits manifesting Himself in seven offices of the God’s Kingdom.
When you are born again you received the Holy Spirit:
When you are born again you have the Holy Spirit with measure. However, you will need to be filled with all the fullness of God. Jesus Christ carried the Fullness of the Lord. To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). Paul here desired that believers in Ephesus receive the filling of the fullness of God.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of grace and supplication:
“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn (Zechariah 12:10). Supplication is a form of prayer in which someone makes a humble petition or an entreaty God.
The Holy Spirit is the Executive Head of the Triune of God. He does all the works and Acts of God:
He is the Spirit of Grace for signs and wonders:
Therefore, they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands (Acts 14:3).
Finally, you must grow in the grace by the Word of God:
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Then you need the grace of God as a gift of His divine ability to work things out for you. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.

Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
