Your Devotional message for 5th May 2021
Scripture:
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:13-14).
Explanation
In the society today, many Christians struggle financially and, in their prosperity, living. In today Daily Meditation, we study Abrahamic blessing. Why is this that a proportion could not position themselves in getting competitive advantage of Abrahamic blessing despite access to the anointing and the Power of Christ.? This observation can only be explained by the Word of the Lord. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me (Hosea 4:6a). Knowledge is power. Many claimed to be born again but have not studied and meditate on the scripture. They live in their comfort zone, not knowing that the Abrahamic blessing must be contended for. The knowledge of the blessing of Abraham is crucial and gaining access to it by Faith. Does God still prosper His people today? Yes, however, the knowledge, Power and Faith to receive this Promise of God is indispensable. Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham (Galatians 3:7). What is the blessing of Abraham?
Following the call of Abraham, The Lord made blessed Abraham and He made him a blessing:
“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you;
and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:2-3). Abraham was rich in silver and gold as the currency of those days was in silver and gold: “Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold” (Genesis 13:2). This is a result of the blessing of the Lord. Likewise, his children became rich like him. The impact of the blessing is evident in the life of Jewish race as they became the carriers of the blessing.
Isaac reaped a plentiful harvest from His Business of sowing because of the Power of the blessing on His life: “Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him” (Genesis 26:12).
God desires in the prosperity of your spirit, soul and body and other areas of life: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 2, NKJV).
The Abrahamic blessing in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 are based on obeying the voice of the Lord: And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
“Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the country.
“Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
“Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
“Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out.
“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
“The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
“The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
So, you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
It is important to study and meditate upon the blessing.
Stay tune as we shall look continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Confession:
The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit man, soul, and body. I prosper in my spirit, soul and body and other areas of life as well as health even as my soul prospers in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God
