Hearing the voice of God
Hearing the voice of God

Your Devotional message for 4th October

Scripture:
And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice (Exodus 19:19).
Explanation:
We continue today, day 4 of the 31 days of our new series called ‘The Lord Spoke’.
The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study on hearing the Voice of God.
It is very important to recognize when God is speaking, and you will need to develop the ability to hear His Voice. God is Spirit and He can decide when to speak, the pitch, ways, and style of communications. You need live a life of righteousness and must pay attention to the ways by which He speaks. For this series we based our knowledge on the Bible and not on any vague experience of man. Moses was a prophet of God and God would speak with him. Examples of that day was when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice (Exodus 19:19).
Here are a few other examples of the scriptures expounding on the voice of God:
In another scenario Moses heard the voice of the Lord and said
, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you (Exodus 15:26).
During the early days of Samuel, the word of God was rare, which has a spiritual reason. Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation (1 Samuel 3:1).
During the moment of Jesus’s Baptism:
When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17). In the next few days, we shall discuss further other ways by which God speaks to His people today.
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of October 2021, do not miss any day as we will be meditating on ‘When the Lord Speaks’

Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healing, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
Further Reading scriptures to meditate:
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,  has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds (Hebrews 1:1-2).
