Then the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Therefore, the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day (Joshua 5:9).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 29 of 31 days of the month of December, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The power and the glory of God’ – Taken away my reproach.
There are devices and weapons of the wicked. One of those devices of the wicked is reproach. Despite leaving the land of Egypt, the effect of slavery had not gone completely. Knowing them is very important for spiritual warfare and victory. It enables a believer to use the right word to address the situation precisely. Similarly, knowing how to apply different weapons of God. Many people go through bondage or affliction as a result of this demon spirit. The power and glory of God makes deliverance from your enemies as easily as possible without struggle. The power of God can overcome the demon by the blood of Jesus.
So it was, when they had finished circumcising all the people, that they stayed in their places in the camp till they were healed. Then the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Therefore, the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day (Joshua 5:8-9).
“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know” (Acts 2:22).
