The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1:7).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 29 of 30 days of the month of September, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Seven Spirits of God’ – The fear of the Lord.
Yesterday we discussed that the scriptures show that there is the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. The Holy Spirit enables a reverential fear for the Awesomeness and the Mighty Power of the Almighty God. It is evident that the wicked lacks the Holy Spirit and the fear of the Lord. Once you are born again you receive the measure of the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1:7).
We will then see the benefit of the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord:
In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil (Proverbs 16:6).
In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge (Proverbs 14:26).
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate (Proverbs 8:13).
And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied (Acts 9:31).
May you receive a dumbfounding blessing and an open heaven in this month, an encounter that brings transformation and restoration in your life and you will be distinguished in life in the name of Jesus.
