Scripture:
In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry entered His ears (2 Samuel 22:7).
Explanation:
Thank God that we are alive to see another day and we shall rejoice in Him. Today, day 28of the 30 days of our Daily Meditation, we will meditate on Favour of God in the time of distress. The purpose of this seriesis ushering you to a deeper study on the knowledge of God’s favour. While God shows His Favour and Mercy on man, we must remember His Statutes and the Judgements especially His Judgement of the Lord at Baal Peor. So, Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel (Numbers 25:3). In todays’ world sins, transgression and iniquities abound. The Fear of the Lord among men fades away. However, the recent World’s Pandemic must draw us to the day of the Lord and His prophecy: “I will bring distress upon men, and they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord; their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh like refuse” (Zephaniah 1:17).Saul was an example of the man who went through a distressing moment of his life. But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him (1 Samuel 16:14).
In fact, any situation of distress requires that one cry for repentance, and to seek for Favour and mercy to abound. The scripture says,“You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come” (Psalm 102:13).
Here are a few other examples of other scriptures expounding onthe favourof God in the time of distress.
In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry entered His ears (2 Samuel 22:7). Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He delivered them out of
their distresses (Psalm 107:6,13,19,28).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Ask God to show His favour on you and before men.
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.

Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4).Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
