Your Devotional message for 28th April, 2023.
Scripture:
The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates (Psalm 11:5).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 28 of the 30 days of the month of April, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Love of God’ – What the Lord hates.
It is possible to be alive today and doing the things that the Lord hates knowingly or unknowingly. This is why ignorance is bad. While the Lord loves the World and gave us His Son Jesus Christ, it must be balanced to let people be aware of What the Lord hates.
The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates (Psalm 11:5). Though Our God is a God of Righteousness, however He hates things like sin, evil, wickedness, oppression of the poor and others. The scripture says that
“These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look,
A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren” (Proverbs 6:16-19).
You shall not set up a sacred pillar, which the Lord your God hates( Deuteronomy 16:21).
Thanks be to God that He loves us so much that sent Jesus Christ for us that we may have access to His favour and blessing.
Here are further scriptures:
You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods (Deuteronomy 12:31).
May you be a witness of the Power of resurrection. May His glory of the Lord arise over your life, His blessing, success, and progress shall be evident in your life in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God.
