Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: “Blessed is the glory of the Lord from His place!” (Ezekiel 3:12).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 27 of 31 days of the month of October, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Revealed Mystery of God’’ – Ezekiel’s encounters with Jehovah.
Just like other prophets Ezekiel was chosen by Jehovah to carry on the work of Jeremiah. The young priest Ezekiel was the man chosen for the performance of this arduous task.
Today we will explore a few episodes as examples of occurrences when God visited him:
The word of the Lord came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was upon him there. Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: “Blessed is the glory of the Lord from His place!” (Ezekiel 3:12).
Thus says the Lord God: “Pound your fists and stamp your feet, and say, ‘Alas, for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! For they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence (Ezekiel 6:11).
And He said to me: “Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city, who say, ‘The time is not near to build houses; this city is the caldron, and we are the meat.’ Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man!” (Ezekiel 11:2-4).
