Biblical text:
The Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favour in the eyes of the prison warden (Genesis 39:21).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 27 of 31 days of the month of January, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of mercy and favour’ – The Lord was with Joseph
The presence of the Lord with a man is an essential aspect of any human existence and living. God can turn you to a superhuman with His glory and presence. Moses was a prophet but still asked the Lord to go with His presence. Likewise, Joseph though he was in the prison, the Lord was with him. The Lord granted him favour in the eyes of the prison warden. The Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favour in the eyes of the prison warden (Genesis 39:21). The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did (Genesis 39:23).
It is very interesting to know that God has always been favourable to the righteous.
And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favour both with the Lord and men (1 Samuel 2:26).
Now God had brought Daniel into the favour and [c]goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs (Daniel 1:9).
Further Scriptures:
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).
