Scripture:
Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. (Genesis 17:3-4).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 26 of 31 days of the month of October, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Revealed Mystery of God’’ – Moses’ encounters with Jehovah.
Moses had several encounters with Yahweh in the Bible but one of the most spectacular events was when the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire in the midst of a bush, which leads him to help the Israelites escape from slavery in Egypt. Moses’s destiny changed to become a prophet of Yahweh.
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So, he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn. “So, when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses! “And he said, “Here I am.” (Exodus 3:2-4).
So, the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.”
And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So, he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it (Exodus 4:2-4).
Today we will explore a few episodes as examples of occurrences when God visited him:
So, Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him (Exodus 4:28).
