Over spiritual afflictions
Over spiritual afflictions

Your Devotional Message for 26th December

Scripture:
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all (Psalms 34:19).

Explanation:

In today Daily Meditation, day 26 of 30 days we will do a further expose on our new series called ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’ –Over spiritual afflictions. The purpose of this series is to gain and apply the knowledge of the Victory purchased by the Lord Jesus Christ. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). We will meditate on scriptures on the victory in Christ – Over spiritual afflictions.

By affliction, it means malady, harm or a cause of pain. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all (Psalms 34:19).

In our societies today, it is not uncommon that there are people experiencing afflictions and you may conclude that there is no solution. Understanding the root cause of such affliction is a key step, but thanks be to God Who has solutions to all things.

The scripture says  “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? (Jeremiah 32:27).

There is lesson to learn from Job, a wealthy and righteous man, who experienced one of the greatest afflictions.Job was inspired to say: And if they are bound infetters, held in the cords of affliction, then He tells them their work and their transgressions—That they have acted defiantly. He also opens their ear to instruction, and commands that they turn from iniquity. If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. But if they do not obey, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge (Job 36: 8-12).

What do you do when there is no physical help?

The case of King Manasseh, who became the king in Jerusalem impressed me. He did evil in the sight of the Lord as he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he raised up altars for the Baals and made wooden images; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them (2 Chronicles 33:3). The Lord spoke to him and his people, but they would not listen. He was bound and taken captive to Babylon. Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God(2 Chronicles 33:12-13).So, Seek the Lord fervently. According to the Psalmist: “I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word” (Psalm 119:107).

Here are ample of the other scriptures expounding on the Victory in Christ:

Jesus Christ did all He could to save us through His redemptive power. Sincerely, spiritual affliction exists and  would only respond  to the Power of God and the name of Jesus Christ. The victory in Christ Jesus – Over spiritual afflictions is demonstrated in the scriptures. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them (Matthew 4:24).

Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?

Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ, do so today by repenting  from all your sins and accept Jesus Christas Your Lord and saviour.

Thanks be to God for His fullness,  grace and His victory. Glory be to God!

In the Month of December 2021, do not miss any day as  we  meditate on ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’

Faith Confession of the Month:

Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have victoried every day of my life.

I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my  Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance  and victory  are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
