Your Devotional message for 26th June 2021
Scripture:
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues (Mark 16:17).
Explanation:
This is day 26 of 30 days of the Great Power of God program. Today in our Daily Meditation, we will be exploring one of the dimensions of the operation of the Great Power of God which is the power to cast out demons.
Often, many people think that deliverance is casting out demons (exorcism). Deliverance entail resisting devil or the demons behind the issue. Our Daily meditation today is not an attempt to teach all the name of demons and their evil works but positioning yourself in the position of Power to cast them out with Authority. Note that demonic spirits are stubborn and wicked in nature. The name of Satan includes serpent, unclean or foul spirit, Lucifer, evil spirit, Angel of light, wicked spirit, the thief and many more. Jesus said that the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Demons are naturally not habitat of the earth so require human body for their existence. This is the reason for demonic possession or rather demonization.
Jesus Christ gave Power to His disciples to cast out demons:
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease (Matthew 10:1). There is Power to cast out demons. As a born-again Christian, you need to access the Power by faith and prayer. You must be filled with Holy Spirit. This is what the seven sons of Scarva lacked and they were overpowered by demons so that they fled out of their house naked and wounded (Acts 19:16).
Casting out demons is by the Spirit of God:
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you (Matthew 12:28).
Jesus Christ gave instruction to His disciples to cast out demons:
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8).
Casting out demons in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth:
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover (Mark 16:17-18).
Truly Faith and the Power are crucial for casting out demons from people in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Prayer and fasting are indispensable. Without His Power, you might see less manifestation and pray for the Power and Glory of God.

Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are
