Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 25 of the 31 days of the month of June, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The great promises of God’ – Entering His rest.
In our Today daily meditation, let us further examine and explore another great promise of God relating to entering His rest. The work of Jesus Christ is a complete Redemption and salvation of our Spirit man and new creation realities. Why are many not entering His rest and still despite this promise? Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it (Hebrews 4:1). It can only be a lack of awareness and ignorance how to attain the rest.
The Psalmist wrote “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass” (Psalm 37:7).
Jesus Christ said to His disciples:
“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
I pray with you that in any area of your life where you need restoration, may the Lord arise with His mercy and bring you restoration in the name of Jesus Christ.
