Your Devotional message for 25th June 2021
Scripture:
He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man (Psalm 18:48).
Explanation:
This is day 25 of 30 days of the Great Power of God program. Today in our Daily Meditation, we will be exploring one of the dimensions of the operation of the Great Power of God which is the power for deliverance.
Often, many people think that deliverance is casting out demons (exorcism). Deliverance goes beyond that. Life is a mystery for many. Life is spiritual. There are good and evil out there. David wrote in Psalm 18 that “God delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man” (Psalm 18:48). The devil’s agenda holds on to his three-fold ministry – to steal, to kill and to destroy. Devil and his cohort of darkness fights against men capitalizing on their Ignorance. The strategy of the devil is to make you believe that it is all issues of life is in your mind and devil does not exist. However, the scripture has clearly revealed that “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6: 12-13). These are hierarchy of demonic spirits that controls men’s life, territory and even rampaging effects on nation. There is clearly evil day.
What are examples of those things that require deliverance? Psalm 91 gives examples:
V3 the snare of the fowler, perilous pestilence, terror by night, arrow of the day, v6 Pestilence that walks in darkness, and destruction at noonday.
Isaiah 58:6 bondage, wickedness, oppression, and affliction.
Therefore, that is why people need deliverance. The Holy Spirit does the work of God. God also uses or send Angels to deliver His servant.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold (Psalm 18:2)
The psalmist (David) said deliver Me from the sword, My precious life from the power of the dog (Psalm 22:20). Arise, O Lord, confront him, cast him down; Deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword(Psalm 17:13, NKJV).
The scripture cannot be broken that “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16). How do you redeem the time and the day from such schemes of the devil? This is through the blood of Jesus and the authority of the Believer. God has about over 100 weapons and armoury to fight the spiritual enemies such the Blood of Jesus, Holy Spirit, the Fire of the Holy Ghost, the sword of the Spirit and many. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Corinthians 10:3-6, NKJV).
Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We submit to God. We use the Word of God, with different prayers and fasting to resist the devil and demonic spirits. You must learn to take Authority delegated to His disciples by Jesus Christ over the demonic spirits behind any issue. You must cast him out with the Strong power of God that is greater than the demonic one.
In conclusion, know that whatever situation you are faced, it may look so terrible. Do not loose heart. For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:19, NKJV). Today, if you can repent from any known sins, hand it over to God. Submit to God. Learn how to resist the devil. Exercise your faith holding on the Word of God through meditation on the Word of God. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11, NKJV).
Truly Faith and the Power are crucial for deliverance. Prayer and fasting are indispensable. Without His Power, you might see less manifestation and pray for the Power and Glory of God.

Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding at work in me. It is written “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are
