Your Devotional message for 24th January 2023
Scripture:
Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us (Isaiah 8:10).
Explanation:
In this month Daily Meditation, you have learned that the Counsel of the Lord is a necessity at the start of the year to enable you to navigate the year with success and triumph. You must also be aware that as the plan of God is unfolding in your life, the counsel of the wicked must be checked and be destroyed as you engage in effective and fervent prayers or with fasting that avails much. According to the Word of the Lord against the wicked: “Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us” (Isaiah 8:10). We live in the World that is not free of evil and wickedness. As a follower of Christ, you must stand in faith in Christ and take the victory purchased when Christ rose from dead.
In this year, you must ask, the Holy Spirit to open every door for supernatural provision in 2023. As you walk in the glory of the Lord, the Holy Spirit will reveal His counsel about the Promises of God, His plans, guidance, direction, instructions, and enlightenment.
In today Daily Meditation, day 24 of the 31 days of the month of December, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our new series ‘The counsel of the Lord’.
Ahaziah is an example of wicked men to his own destruction:
He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother advised him to do wickedly. Therefore he did evil in the sight of the Lord, like the house of Ahab; for they were his counsellors after the death of his father, to his destruction (2 Chronicles 22:3-4).
Then someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O Lord, I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!” (2 Samuel 15:31).
Here are further scriptures:
The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, and they will consult the idols and the charmers, The mediums and the sorcerers (Isaiah 19:3).
I pray that His mercy and grace will preserve you and keep you in the name of Jesus. You will walk in the counsel of the Lord for your life. I pray for you that in this year the Lord shall bring to you revelation of His counsel, favour, mercy, blessing, success, and progress in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God.

I function in the Powerful name of Jesus with great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. Infirmity in my body be scattered and be destroyed by Fire. I cast you out. Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). Prosperity is mine.
This month Our God, the Great Counsellor shall manifest His glory in your life in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
