Your Devotional message for 24th May 2021
Scripture:
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV).
Explanation:
In Hosea 4:6a, God said, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Therefore, Knowledge is very crucial, not only pertaining earthly things, but most importantly understanding the operation of the Spirit realm. Once you are born again, you have been given the right and the privileges of the Kingdom of God. But the authority becomes effective with knowledge, faith, and the anointing. You must understand that you have entered a University to learn and gain the knowledge about God and His Kingdom. Your graduation depends now on your efforts and your participation with the Holy Spirit to help you in line with Prosperity in Life.
The knowledge of Christ is very important. Jesus told His disciples: Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV). What is Authority? It is a delegated power. In this context we talk about the Power of God. The Power of God is supreme. No wonder in Matthew 28:18 Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. The Power of God is inside of you as a believer.
There is a working of His mighty power that works inside of you by the Holy Ghost. Now to Him who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV). And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:19-21, NKJV).
Power of God is required to exercise the Authority of the believers over serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy. The demonic spirits are described by God with Figures of animals. That is what they represent in the spirit. The enemy is out in the world at times to be an hinderance to your progress. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
The demonic spirits and their powers are responsible for evils and wickedness affecting the lives of people. Jesus Christ has given us Power to cast out these demonic spirits.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16: 16-18, NKJV). Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:12-13, NKJV). Our victory was obtained by the blood of Jesus. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11).
The Name of Jesus Christ is to be used for this authority; Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11,NKJV).
Have you noticed anything wrong in your life? Are you trying to succeed in a project and constantly experience failure? The story of Peter – a fisherman in Luke chapter 5:1-11 was interesting. Jesus was in the boats of Simon as He saw fishermen washing their nets. While teaching the multitudes, he saw that they have caught nothing. He said unto Simon: “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” (Luke 5:5-8).
Activate the Power in you. Decree your prosperity and success.
Thank God that the challenge is over. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Confession:
The blessing of God, the Power of God or anointing which produces an increased prosperity rest upon me today and forevermore. I declare the blessing to rest upon my life, family, business, ministry, and anything that I lay my hand to do. I receive Fruitfulness, multiplication, power to replenish the earth, to subdue and to have dominion over every living thing. Any hidden curse is broken in any area of my life. I obey and serve my God of Heaven, I shall spend my days in prosperity, and my years in pleasures (Job 36:11, NKJV). I prosper in my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus. I reject sickness and diseases. I bind Spirit of infirmity. I declare that no devil is permitted to attack my body as the Word of God gives me Divine health and healing. From today I declare my victory and protection through the Blood of Jesus in the name of Jesus.
