Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 23 of 31 days of the month of December, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Arise and shine’.
In today’s Daily Meditation we will discuss and meditate on ‘Arise and shine’ – Power against serpents and scorpions. The reality of demonic power operating against the people are real. Many of the challenges faced by man daily are spiritually rooted and one should not be ignorant of them. Serpents and scorpions in this case are not the physical ones in the bush but a symbolic description of ramification and class of demonic powers. Thanks be to God who has given authority to the believers in the name of Jesus to destroy these powers.
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
Lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock (Deuteronomy 8:12-15).
