For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrew 12:29).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 24 of 30 days of the month of June we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The presence of the Lord’ – Fire in His presence.
In our today Daily meditation, we will meditate on the presence of the Holy Ghost as He is inseparable from His Fire. God is a Spirit and Our God isa consuming Fire.
For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrew 12:29).
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So, he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed (Exodus 3:2).
Therefore, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Will send leanness among his fat ones; And under his glory He will kindle a burning Like the burning of a fire (Isaiah 10:16).
A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out (Leviticus 6:13)
Look, fire has come down from heaven and burned up the first two captains of fifties with their fifties. But let my life now be precious in your sight (2 Kings 1:14).
Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth;
Coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also and came down. With darkness under His feet (Psalm 18:8-9).
