Your Devotional message for 24th June 2021
Scripture:
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease (Matthew 10:1).
Explanation:
This is day 24 of 30 days of the Great Power of God program. Today in our Daily Meditation, we will explore one of the dimensions of the operation of the Great Power of God which is the power for Healings.
With advancement in medical sciences, you might want to ask why we still need this Power for Healings. In one of my supernatural encounters with the Spirit of God, was an unusual experience while I was waiting unto God in Prayer and fasting in 2017. I inquired of the Lord to discover a witty invention. However, it was revealed to me that certain diseases emanated through the spirit of the man and such diseases have spiritual roots. God affirmed by revelation that this kind of diseases are afflictions and would hardly response to conventional medical treatment. It is the intention of God to reveal His secrets.
Following the fall of Adam, man fell short of the glory of God and the sinful nature prevails before Christ. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The fall of Adam brought curse of toiling death to mankind (Genesis 3). Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come (Romans 5:14). Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life (Romans 5:18). The scripture shows different descriptions of sickness and diseases such as curse, affliction, oppression, bondage and works of the devil showing us the role of the devil. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
In the scripture such as Exodus 15:26 and Psalm 103:3, we understood that God is the Healer (Jehovah Rapha). God revealed the importance of Power in healing the sick
The Holy Spirit anointed Jesus Christ with Power: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38). In Luke 5:17, at the healing of the paralytics, and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all (Luke 6:19).
Jesus gave His disciples Power for Healings of all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases: And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases (Matthew 10:1). Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
The Power of God gives Life to mortal bodies: The Power of resurrection is the same Power of God that raised Jesus Christ from dead has a Life-giving ability as in Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Truly Faith and the Power are crucial for the Healings the sick. Without His Power, you might see less manifestation of His Healings’ grace. Desire the gifts of the Spirit and pray for the Power and Glory of God.

Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding at work in me. It is written “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are
