Your Devotional message for 24th June, 2023.
Scripture:
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven (James 5:15)
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 24 of the 30 days of the month of June, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The God that answers prayers’ –Prayer of petition.
Another type of prayer in the Bible is called the Prayer of petition. What is the prayer of petition? The prayer of petition is that prayer made unto Godin appealing to the authority of God in respect of a particular cause. It may be in a form of verbal request, a written request or perhaps of a letter in accordance withHis will.
Hannah made a petition to the Lord concerning her barrenness before Eli:
Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him” (1 Samuel 1:17).
And she said, “O my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the Lord. For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him (1 Samuel 1:26-27).
And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him (1 John 5:15).
Our prayer to you today:
We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfil all your petitions (Psalm 20:5).

Today, let me encourage you that Jesus Christ came for your salvation and to give you freely Eternal life. If you are yet to receive Christ, do so today by repentance from all your sins and confess Jesus Christ as Your Lord and saviour.
I pray with you today, may you experience a supernatural manifestation of healings, deliverance, signs and wonders in your life, marriage, finance, business, and family in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Glory be to God!
