Then beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage (Deuteronomy 6:12).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 23 of the 31 days of the month of June, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The great promises of God’ – From bondage to Liberty.
In our Today daily meditation, we will explore another great promise of God relating to receiving liberty from bondage. Then beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage (Deuteronomy 6:12).
As a Christian, knowing the history of what God has done is a knowledge of what God has done in the past and positioning you for what He can do in your life. Such is the story of how the children of Israel were in Egypt for 400 years and became held in house of bondage to the Egyptians.
Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them. (Exodus 2:23-25).
Therefore, say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments (Exodus 6:6). By Exodus 14 the people were delivered for the Egyptian bondage. Glory be to God.
I pray with you that in any bondage you are may the Lord arise with Fire of deliverance and deliver you from every form of bondage in the name of Jesus Christ.
