Your Devotional message for 23rd April, 2023.
Scripture:
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 23 of the 30 days of the month of April, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Love of God’ –Faith, Hope, and Love.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). It is an amazing wisdom for Paul to re-emphasize the spiritual significance by laying comparison between Faith, hope and love. In this case Love is the greatest of the three. This does not mean that other ones are not important in our knowledge of God.
So,Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God (Mark 11:22).
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”(Lamentations 3:24).
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption (Psalm 130:7).
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love (1 John 4:8).And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. (Mark 12:30).
Thanks be to God that He loves us so much that sent Jesus Christ for us that we may have access to His favour and blessing.

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation (1 Thessalonians 5:8).
