Scripture:

Then we cried out to the Lord God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labour and our oppression (Deuteronomy 26:7).

Explanation:

In today Daily Meditation, day 21 of the 31 days of the month of March, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The works of God’ – Freedom from evil affliction.

And that very hour He (Jesus) cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight (Luke 7:21).

The power of God to heal and for deliverance from evil affliction has been evident works of God in the life of people. The devil is responsible for affliction experienced by people. The three folds ministry of the devil and demonic spirts exists to steal from the life of men, to kill and to destroy. Evil schemes of affliction can be seen in multi-faceted spheres of our life. In family foundations, marriage, health and diseases, business, works of life.

The Children of Israel were afflicted while in slavery in Egypt. Then we cried out to the Lord God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labour and our oppression (Deuteronomy 26:7). However, thanks be to God for the anointing for deliverance that Christ has given to us as His sons.

Job during his affliction was another example of a person who cried out to God for His deliverance and said: and if they are bound in fetters, held in the cords of affliction, then He tells them their work and their transgressions – That they have acted defiantly (Job 36:8-9).

I pray for you today that Jesus Christ shall deliver you all from evil affliction and God’s works and Acts will be evident in you and through you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Here are further scriptures:

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all (Psalm 34:19). I pray for you today may you be baptized with Holy Spirit and Fire so that you will experience His wondrous works over your life, His mercy, blessing, success, and progress shall be evident in your life in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God.

Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?

Today, let me encourage you that Jesus Christ came for your salvation and to give you freely Eternal life. If you are yet to receive Christ, do so today by repentance from all your sins and confess Jesus Christ as Your Lord and saviour.

Glory be to God!
