Scripture:
Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in (Psalm 24:9).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 21 of 30 days of the month of June we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The presence of the Lord’ – Gates be lifted up.
In our today Daily meditation, we will meditate on the presence of the Holy Ghost that lifts us gates of the enemy. Enemy would often like to appear at the path of life of a righteous. “The evil will bow before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous” (Proverbs 14:19). These are spiritual gates in the spirit realm that must fall under the order of Jericho walls. The power of God is mighty to destroy those gates.
Open the gates, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in (Isaiah 26:2).
The Psalmist was conversing about the King of Glory in Psalm 24 and here is what he said:
Lift up your heads, O you gates! and be lifted up, you everlasting doors! and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah (Psalm 24:7-9).
