Scripture:
“To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:79).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 21 of 30 days of the month of September, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Light of God’ – To give light to those who sit in darkness.
Now that we have known that we need more of the light of God and the essence of the light. It is expedient that one of the purposes of light is to be a witness and dispenser of this great light of God to others who are in darkness.
Similarly, Zacharias’s prophecy indicated that John was to give light to those in darkness.
“Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:78 – 79).
Jesus Christ said: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16).
May your light shine and give light to those in darkness in the name of Jesus.
I pray with you that in any area of your life where you need manifestation of God, may the Lord arise with His light and mercy and bring you manifestation in the name of Jesus Christ.
