Your Devotional message for 21th June 2021
Scripture:
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV).
Explanation:
Today in our Daily Meditation, we will explore exercising your believer’s Authority In Christ. We welcome your participation in joining us on day 21 of 30 days of the Great Power of God program. In Hosea 4:6a, God said, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Therefore, Knowledge is very crucial, not only pertaining earthly things, but most importantly understanding the operation of the Spirit realm. Once you are born again, you have been given the right and the privileges of the Kingdom of God. But the authority becomes effective with knowledge, faith, and the Anointing. You must understand that you have entered University to learn and gain the knowledge about God and His Kingdom. Your graduation depends now on your efforts and your participation with the Holy Spirit to help you.
There is a working of His mighty power that works inside of you by the Holy Ghost. Now to Him who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV). And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:19-21, NKJV).
The knowledge of Christ and the Word.
Jesus told His disciples: Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV). What is Authority? It is a delegated power. In this context we talk about the delegated Power of God to cause a change. The Power of God is supreme over the devil. No wonder in Matthew 28:18 Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. The Power of God is inside of you as a believer.
Power of God is required to exercise the Authority of the believers over serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). This clearly shows the invisible and hierarchical organized power of devil that are responsibility for the evil and wickedness on Earth. The enemy is out in the world at times to be an hinderance to your progress of people.
The demonic spirits and their powers are responsible for evils and wickedness affecting the lives of people. Jesus Christ has given us Power to cast out these demonic spirits.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16: 16-18, NKJV). Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:12-13, NKJV). Our victory was obtained by the blood of Jesus. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11).
The Name of Jesus Christ is to be used for this authority: Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11,NKJV).
Have you noticed anything wrong in your life? Are you trying to succeed in a project and constantly experience failure? The story of Peter – a fisherman in Luke chapter 5:1-11 was interesting. Jesus was in the boats of Simon as He saw fishermen washing their nets. While teaching the multitudes, he saw that they have caught nothing. He said unto Simon: “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” (Luke 5:5-8).
Activate the Power in you. Decree your prosperity and success.
Thank God that the challenge is over. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
You must Key to these fundamental principles, study, and meditate upon the Word of God.

Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding at work in me. It is written “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are
