Your Devotional message for 22nd April 2021
Scripture:
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV).
Explanation:
Have you ever said by asking God where are you and would you come down and heal me? Why this me sound as a prayer, it is not in alignment with the Authority of a believer? This kind of prayer may be heard and not answered by God or the person affected may end up dying because of ignorance. In Hosea 4:6a, God said, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Therefore, Knowledge is very crucial, not only pertaining earthly things, but most importantly understanding the operation of the Spirit realm. Once you are born again, you have given the right and the privileges of the Kingdom of God.
The knowledge of Christ is very important. Jesus told His disciples: Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV). What is Authority? It is a delegated power. In this context we talk about the Power of God. The Power of God is supreme. No wonder in Matthew 28:18 Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. The Power of God is inside of you as a believer.
There is a working of His mighty power that works inside of you by the Holy Ghost. Now to Him who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV). And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:19-21, NKJV).
Power of God is required to exercise the Authority of the believers over serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy. The demonic spirits are described by God with Figures of animals. That is what they represent in your dream. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
These demonic spirits and their powers are responsible for evils and wickedness affecting the lives of people. Jesus Christ has given us Power to cast out these demonic spirits.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16: 16-18, NKJV). Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:12-13, NKJV).
Our victory was obtained by the blood of Jesus. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11).
The Name of Jesus Christ is to be used for the delegated power. Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11,NKJV).
Have you noticed anything wrong in your life? Have you notice anything wrong in your health, perhaps the diagnosis looks hopeless? Do not loose heart or hope in respective of the hopeless situation or a Doctor’s report?
Think of what Jesus did when He had found Lazarus already in the tomb fours. He met Lazarus’ dead and stinking. He used His authority after giving thanks to God.
Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” (John 11:43, NKJV). He spoke in a loud voice, The He commanded for Lazarus be Loose and to let him go.
Activate the Power in you
Thank God that the problem is over. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7). You must Resist the devil.

Confession:
Lord grant me the grace so that the Holy Spirit may bring forth the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit give permission. The word of God is in my mouth. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, it is piercing even to the division of my soul and spirit, and of my joints and marrow, and is a discerner of my thoughts and intents of the heart.
I prosper in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus. My body is healthy and strong. I refuse sickness, diseases, and evils of this world. I exercise my dominion over devil and the cohorts of darkness. From today I declare my victory and protection in the name of Jesus.
