Scriptures:
And the angel of the Lord said to Elijah, “Go down with him; do not be afraid of him.” So, he arose and went down with him to the king (2 Kings 1:15).
Explanation:
In the next few days, we shall explore great men of God in the scripture who operated with signs and wonders. They moved by faith and with the Power of God for the manifestations of wonders of God. Prophet Elijah and Prophet Elisha were examples of great men of God. These signs and wonders were written for our examples that we may gain knowledge and power to witness the presence of God in this generation.
In today Daily Meditation, day 20of the 31days of the month of March, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating toour new series the ‘‘The God of Signs and wonders’-In the Ministry of Elijah, the Prophet.
We examine a fewevents that happened in the Ministry of Elijah the Prophet for our admonition.
Elijah proclaimed a drought in Israel:
And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word” (1 Kings 17:1).
Elijah revives a widow’s son back to life:
Then he cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?” And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him.” Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived(1 Kings 17:20-22).
Fire came down against demonic priests:
“If I am a man of God” Let Fire come down from heaven” (verse 12)
Look, fire has come down from heaven and burned up the first two captains of fifties with their fifties. But let my life now be precious in your sight” (2 Kings 1:14)
Elijah outran the chariot of Ahab:
Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel(1 Kings 18:46).
I pray for you that you may operate in the Spirit and Power of Elijah by Fire in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our Father, thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ of everlasting covenant. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching will not be with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I have the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. My life is prospering, flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Prayer Points:
1. Thanks be to God forHis presence for signs and wonders.
2. Power of the Holy Spirit overshadow my life for wonders
3. O Lord I pray that I may operate in the Spirit and Power of Elijah by Fire in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. We pray for peace of God to reign in the Nations of Russia and Ukraine threatened by war right now.
