Scripture:
Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business (Acts 6:3)
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 20 of the 31 days of the month of July, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Anointing’ – The Evangelistic anointing.
We are in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit nowadays and we have continually seen the powerful move of the Holy Spirit. It is not good to be ignorant of the Ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. God called men into different five folds Ministry through impartation of Anointing and grace. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers (Ephesians 4:11). Today we will look at the Evangelistic anointing.
In Acts 6, I like the criteria they demanded in the appointment of disciples for daily distribution to the Hellenists. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business (Acts 6:3). The 7 disciples chosen receive anointing as they laid hands on them.
Philip showed a typical Biblical example of an evangelist:
Therefore, those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Then Philip went down to ]the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed, and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city (Acts 8:4-8).
Further scriptures on the Evangelistic Anointing: Jesus Christ instructed every disciple to be a witness after receiving the Anointing.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen (Matthew 28:18-20)

Thanks be to God for my salvation, divine health, grace, glory, provision, protection, eternal life, healings, and supernatural ability at work in me. With the help of the Anointing of God, I operate in the Higher dimension of the Spirit and Power of God. I am more than a conqueror every day of my life. I function in the Powerful name of Jesus with great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. Infirmity in my body be scattered and be destroyed by Fire. I cast you out. Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I have the Anointing therefore I prosper, I continue prospering, until I become very prosperous. I flourish in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
