Your Devotional message for 20th June 2021
Scripture:
For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2).
Explanation:
Today in our Daily Meditation, we will explore Activating the power in you. It is interesting that today is day 20 of 30 days of the Great Power of God. We will discuss that although the Holy Spirit dwells in you, it is your responsibility to activate the Power in you for great Exploits. We discussed yesterday that although faith is important, but love is the greatest compared to faith and hope. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Faith is the currency of the Kingdom.
Jesus Christ had promised His disciples of another One like Him when He departed. “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. Truly the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost. When you are born again the Holy Spirit is the Helper and resides and lives inside of you. This is because the scripture says: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
Activate the Power through Prayer:
And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31). The Apostles knew how to pray right and brought this Great Power that cause earth to quake. Paul and Silas following unrighteous imprisonment prayed to God. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains were loosed (Acts 16:25-26).
Similar episode happened when Solomon had finished praying: When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple (2 Chronicles 7:1).
Activate the Power through speaking with an unknown tongue:
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20). One of the mysteries that cannot be unraveled is the activation of the Power of God for the supernatural through speaking with an unknown tongue. So likewise, is the singing in tongues. It activates the Power of the Holy Spirit. Paul wrote to Colossians that “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” (Colossians 1:9).

Activate the Power of God through True Worship or Praise
This is very crucial during personal or corporate prayers.
Jehoshaphat and his people of Judah showed the Power of heartfelt Worship or Praise. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the Lord, worshiping the Lord. Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high (2 Chronicles 20:18-19).
An atmosphere of intense Worship of God or Praise brings the presence of God and activation of Great Power of God. Jesus Christ laid the instruction that “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24).
You must Key to these fundamental principles, study, and meditate upon the Word of God.

Faith Confession for Power:
Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding at work in me. It is written “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are mine to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God.
