Your Devotional message for 20th September 2022
Scripture:
I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness (John 12:46).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 19 of the 30 days of the month of September, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series‘The God of Life and Light’ –
– Encounters of men with great light
We highlighted the importance of light as a solution to darkness that is responsible for many afflictions and oppression of the people in this World. Let us see a few encounters of men as in the scriptures for our learning examples. Therefore, pray to experience such encounter with God.
Let us explore a few of these encounters –
Jesus said that “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness” (John 12:46).
Moses had an encounter with God in a flame of Fire:
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed (Exodus 3:2).
Solomon during the dedication of the Temple:
When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house (2 Chronicles 7:1-2).
Saul during his encounter with Jesus Christ:
As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” (Acts 9:3-4)
Here are further scriptures:
To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace (Luke 1:79).

Today, let me encourage you that Jesus Christ came for your salvation and to give you freely Eternal life. If you are yet to receive Christ, do so today by repentance from all your sins and confess Jesus Christ as Your Lord and saviour.

I flourish in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

1.Thanks be to Godforgiving an encounter that will change my life for good.
2. My Father in this month,I decree and declare that I receive eternal life and Greater Light of God.
3. We pray and agree for peace of God to reign in the Nations of Russia and Ukraine under war right now.
