“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3).

Explanation:

In today Daily Meditation, day 19 of 31 days of the month of August, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The blessing of the Lord’ – The blessed 

The blessing of the Lord is not always measured by the material possession alone. To be blessed is also to be a career of eternal values. Jesus Christ gave us a list of the blessed which is the centre of our meditation today.

Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.  Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:1-10).

They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel (John 12:13).

May you receive a dumbfounding blessing and an open heaven in this month, an encounter that brings transformation and restoration in your life and you will be distinguished in life in the name of Jesus.

Let us pray today: May you experience the fullness of God’s blessing that brings supernatural manifestation of wisdom, healings, deliverance, signs and wonders in your life, marriage, finance, business, and family in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Glory be to God!
