Your Devotional Message for 19th December
Scripture:
He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight (Psalm 72:14).
Explanation:
Oppression occurs at different level of the society. It is a prolonged cruelty or unjust treatment or exercise of authority or mental pressure or distress.
In Today Daily Meditation, day 19 of 30 days we will do a further expose on our new series called ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’over the spirit of oppression.The purpose of this series is to gain and apply the knowledge of the Victory purchased by the Lord Jesus Christ.But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). We will meditate on scriptures on the victory in Christ Jesus over the spirit of oppression.
The spirit of oppression works in the World as it symbolizes oppression, stagnation, and attempts to prevent God’s people from achieving their life purpose. There are instances in the Scriptures, but we would use the case of King Pharaoh who strongly oppressed the Jews in the land of Egypt with oppression. And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows (Exodus 3:7).

In the mist of intercession God will arise. “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns”(Psalm 12:5).
Similarly, the King Herod was furious to learn about the birth of Jesus and planned to kill Jesus Christ at His Birth:
Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men (Matthew 2:16).
Finally, it is important to seek the face of God in the mist of oppression in prayer and ask God to send His Angels to deliver you from the hand of the terrible.

Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Jesus Christas Your Lord and saviour.

Faith Confession of the Month:
Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have victoried every day of my life.
I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
