Your Devotional Message for 18th September 2021
Scripture:
And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).
Explanation:
Today, day 18 of the 30 days of our Daily Meditation, we will contemplate on the Favour of God for restoration. The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study on the knowledge of God’s favour. God is the Architect of the Nature and is known for His divine favour for restoration. The devil and his cohort of darkness can come to steel, to kill and destroy lives (John 10:10). Restoration is required. Restoration is getting back whatever has been lost. This is not only restricted to destiny, but health, lost possession, years lost in affliction and oppression of the wicked and many other things. Have you tried whatever you know physically to gain restoration but to no avail? Turn to Almighty God for His Favour. For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favoured them (Psalm 44:3).
Here are a few examples of the other scriptures expounding on the favour for restoration.
Salvation is a form of restoration to your original plan of God:
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me by Your generous Spirit (Psalms 51:12).
The restoration of Job’s losses: Job was a wealthy and righteous man in the East. He came under the attack of the devil. He lost it all. However, he experienced restoration when he prayed to God for his friends.
He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him, He shall see His face with joy, For He restores to man His righteousness (Job 33:26).
And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).
Restoration of territory to Israel:
Then the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron to Gath; and Israel recovered its territory from the hands of the Philistines. Also, there was peace between Israel and the Amorites (1 Samuel 7:14).
Restoration of King Nebuchadnezzar’s Humiliation:
He had a dream which made him afraid and made a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before him. Daniel (Belteshazzar) provided him interpretation under the Spirit of the Holy God. 12 months King Nebuchadnezzar had exalted himself against God of Heavens. King Nebuchadnezzar was driven from His palace and ate grass like oxen (Daniel 4). At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counsellors and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me (Daniel 4:36).

It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healing, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
