Your Devotional Message for 18th December
Scripture:
My God, remember Tobiah and Sanballat, according to these their works, and the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets who would have made me afraid (Nehemiah 6:14).
Explanation:
In Today Daily Meditation, day 18 of 30 days we will do a further expose on our new series called ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’over the spirit of opposition and accusation.The purpose of this series is to gain and apply the knowledge of the Victory purchased by the Lord Jesus Christ. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).
In today Daily Meditation, we will meditate on scriptures on the victory in Christ Jesusover the spirit of opposition and accusation.Have you ever decided to do something extraordinary in your life or build a project for God and found your work being under serious opposition or accusation? You have found that you are around people who are being judgmental, mocking, or with insidious spirit?The spirit of opposition and accusationis enemy of revival and brings strong opposition to what God wants to build. There are instances in the Scriptures, but we would use the case of Sanballat and Tobiah who strongly opposed the Jews in the work of God, similarly the Pharisees and the Sadducees who were against Christ doctrine.
But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?” (Nehemiah 2:19).
But it so happened, when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, that he was furious and very indignant, and mocked the Jews (Nehemiah 4:1).
Dealing with spirit of opposition and accusation is not by physical confrontation but best by reporting the adversaries to the Lord, with effective prayer and by rebuke of the spirit in the operation saying, you spirit of opposition “The Lord rebuke you!” (Jude 1:9). I like the prayer by Prophet Nehemiah saying thus: My God, remember Tobiah and Sanballat, according to these their works, and the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets who would have made me afraid (Nehemiah 6:14).
Here are ample of the other scriptures expounding on the Victory and authority over the spirit of opposition and accusation by ‘Rebuke’:
Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” (Jude 1:9).
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” (Mark 1:25).
Finally, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” (Revelation 12:11).
May the Lord silence every voice of demonic opposition speaking evil against you and your destiny in the name of Jesus.

Faith Confession of the Month:
Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have victoried every day of my life.
I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
