Scripture:
The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel (Exodus 24:17).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 18 of 30 days of the month of April we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Our God is a consuming fire’ – What the consuming Fire can do.
The power and the fire of God Let us examine a few scriptures that gives us the knowledge of God concerning what the Fire of God can accomplish in our walk with God.
The sight of glory of the Lord:
The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel (Exodus 24:17).
Encounter with Fire:
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed (Exodus 3:2).
Judgement of God on wickedness:
Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens (Genesis 19:24).
Fire on the altar:
Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench (1 Kings 18:38).
May you receive the Fire of God that brings healings to your body, deliverance, and the prosperity of your soul so that you will be distinguished in life in the name of Jesus.
